The artist and author of this comic, Albert Gritzmacher III, passed away November 18, 2011 at 2:10 PM. He fought a long and valiant battle with Cystic Fibrosis, and after 3 years with a Lung Transplant, his battle has ended. Not with a loss, but with 36 years of successful living. Thank you to everyone who was a part of his life. He is watching over us all, likely making snarky side comments as he was so well known for. If anyone wishes to make a memorial, make a donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Hi. Welcome to the Crash Landon Homepage. I'm Al Gritz,
      the cartoonist and I hope you enjoy your visit to my world.
Crash Landon is a comic strip that appeared during 1996-97 in
      the student newspaper of Niagara
      County Community College near Niagara Falls NY.
All artwork is done the old fashioned way, pen or pencil on paper. Images
      have been scanned into computer-readable form using a flatbed scanner and
      only minor retouching to allow transparent backgrounds or to add titles etc.
      have been performed. These cartoons are the real thing!

Mr. Bonejangles	Mr. Bonejangles is a skeleton-like creature with a sense of modesty. Why else would a skeleton wear clothes? Affectionately known as "Bonehead" to some of the other characters in the strip, he is often the brunt of their jokes. Not the brightest guy, (What do you expect? He's dead!) nonetheless, he is often the voice of reason in the strip.
Gwenn	The newest character in Landon land, she didn't even have a name at first and was called the Girl with No Name.. An equal opportunity cartoonist, Al drew her when he realized that all the other characters were male. After much input she was named Gwenn, or Girl With Essentially No Name!
Zephyr	An alien from Outer Space, Zephyr is now solidly grounded on Earth. After all, he has three legs! He still hasn't mastered all our Earth customs yet, which leads to some pretty funny things sometimes!
Crash Landon	Crash Landon, the title character of the strip, is a pretty regular guy, except for the weird friends he seems to attract. He's usually the target of their practical jokes.
Smith	Inseparable friend of Wesson, Smith is a likable guy... err, critter. Until he gets with Wesson, that is.
Cydranth	Cydranth is a chicken in a cat's body. The original scaredy-cat. Syd is pretty cuddly-looking, but he's afraid of his own shadow!
Wesson	Wesson is the trouble maker of the strip. His affinity for explosives and violence makes his point of view, well, unique.
